Michael Bay has returned to set directing the first feature film shot in Los Angeles since the crash of the film industry caused by the pandemic. Bay of course lined up an all-star cast and crew to help him bring this action-drama remake to life. Ambulance is a French Film remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. With filmmaking slowly returning Bay wanted to insure he brought the best of the best back to set. 5150 Action and 2nd Unit Director Mike Gunther joined the project in late December 2020, with filming beginning early January. Bay loves to play things fast and loose, with little prep and a tight budget every department had to be the very best. With over five Michael Bay projects under 5150 Action’s belt the team up between Gunther and Bay made perfect sense. The film was shot entirely in Los Angeles and at the time Ambulance was the first feature film to return to shooting in L.A. Ambulance is set to release February 18th 2022.
